I've been thinking about what I want to do with this blog, and I think it really boils down to 3 types of posts (Stray Thoughts not withstanding). The first is tutorials or write-ups. I'm going to go ahead and strike this one off the list immediately; I don't really have the expertise in any field necessary to do this sort of thing, and any how-to article I write could probably be found better written elsewhere. The second is meta-political and cultural musings. This seems to be the most work of the three. I think I could write some interesting articles, but they would require a lot of research to fully flesh out. I have always loathed research papers, but if it's a topic I'm truly interested, I think I could do it. The final is fiction or poetry writing. I've been drawn lately to these, but the quality of my work is just dreadful. I'm not sure if I just don't have the creativity or if I simply lack the skills to bring a vision into words.

Ultimately, I am an abysmal writer. Ever since my earliest school days I have performed below average in this area. But this is one of the things this blog is meant to address. A large portion of my reasoning for this website, even, is to help me develop skills. So please bear with me while I assault you with my horrible writing. I will try to do some of each of what I've listed above, and God willing, I will become a competent writer in the process.
